reviews/quotes

One of my favorite clarinetists of today, Federico's interpretations are always fresh, engaging and moving. His refined taste and beautiful sound make every piece he plays shine and come to life. His recording of my Pacific Serenade is one that I love…

Federico is an excellent musician focused on the promotion of Latin-American repertoire. He's been doing a great job for the cause of both traditional and young composers…

Uruguayan Federico Palacios arrived in Europe in 2001. Devoted passionately to deepen his musical knowledge and express his own interpretation, he has since traveled extensively, his clarinet shoulder. Always curious of exchange, he felt and sensed, seen and heard. Heard and listened to.

He met, merged and studied. Explored and interpreted. Determined and committed, he traces ever since a new path for his instrument.

Independent professional musician, soloist, Federico Palacios carves his name today in the international music world and is devoted to innovative and very promising forecasts. An attending and altruistic man, Mr. Palacios became a teacher in several music schools, where he offers to his students the confidence and the freedom of his own play and to his audience the poetry and the flight of his virtuosity.

A passionate soloist and chamber musician, Federico moves through different genres and styles such as classical and contemporary music, freestyle improvisation and traditional sort.

An assiduous explorer of unknown works and composers, he has succeeded in the last years to expand his repertoire through exhaustive research. This has afforded him the ability to debut in each of his concerts at least one piece of previously unrecorded material and influenced the release of his first album, “Yvi Piahu” (New Land) which boasts the first historical recording of six pieces by Latin American composers. A seasoned and sensitive professional clarinetist. His "New Land" CD (featuring works by South American composers) was a great find.

Federico Palacios is a wonderful ‘virtuoso’ clarinetist with a great technique and an excellent musical sensitivity. He plays perfectly in chamber music ensembles as well as a first clarinet in symphonic orchestras and also as a soloist in concertos for clarinet and orchestra. Federico deserves playing at the best orchestras worldwide.
